The first edition of the competition took place in 1993, which is also the year when our association was founded after separating from its federal predecessor. The shooting multi-event was preceded by KDPZ competitions, which had a slightly different format.
The competition has more than thirty years of history and has remained practically unchanged since its inception, with only minor adjustments over time.
The Shooting Pentathlon consists of five distinct disciplines that test the comprehensive skills of every competitor.

Shooting with a standard large-caliber pistol at 25 meters at a 50/20 sport target in three series of five rounds, each fired within 2 minutes.

Shooting with a semi-automatic rifle vz. 58 in its original configuration at 100 meters. Ten rounds are fired from each of the three positions: prone, standing, and kneeling.

Throwing a grenade for accuracy into a designated zone. The throwing distances vary depending on gender and age category.

Combat shooting with a pistol at five “Pepper Popper” falling targets placed at distances from 30 to 50 meters (in 5-meter increments).

A shooting duel of three-member teams using small-caliber rifles at 50 meters at falling targets (similar to those used in biathlon).

No. The competition is intended exclusively for SZVvZ members, as teams represent individual reserve soldier clubs.
In addition to basic safety equipment (eye protection, hearing protection), competitors need a large-caliber pistol, a semi-automatic rifle vz. 58, and a small-caliber rifle designed or modified for single-shot firing.
Optical sights are not permitted on pistols or on semi-automatic rifles vz. 58. Only mechanical sights are allowed.
For small-caliber rifles, diopter sights are permitted.
The use of tracer, marking, armor-piercing, or incendiary ammunition is prohibited.
