RAPID-FIRE DISCIPLINES

Timed disciplines combining elements of technical and dynamic shooting. Rapid-fire shooting with a stationary shooter.

DYNAMIC SHOOTING DISCIPLINES

COMBINED DISCIPLINES

Shooting competitions composed of multiple types of disciplines, aimed at testing the shooter’s versatility and overall proficiency.

EDUCATION OF REFEREES
AND MATCH DIRECTORS

An important part of the association’s activities is the education of referees and match directors, which is an essential part of ensuring the highest possible level of safety for everyone participating in shooting-sport competitions organized by SZVvZ.

TECHNICAL SHOOTING COMPETITIONS

Technical shooting competitions focus on technical, or in other words, precision shooting on targets. They develop the fundamental skills required for accurate shooting — breathing, aiming, trigger control, grip, stance, and follow-through.

Pistol competitions with short-barrel firearms involve shooting large-caliber pistols and revolvers at a distance of 25 m. Three types of targets with varying difficulty and scoring are used.

Long-gun competitions with semi-automatic rifles consist of positional shooting (standing, prone, kneeling) at a distance of 100 m. A reduced (50%) version of the 135P military target (uncovered prone silhouette) is used.

RAPID-FIRE SHOOTING COMPETITIONS

Rapid-fire, or semi-dynamic shooting competitions combine elements of both technical (precision) and dynamic shooting disciplines. They focus on developing precision shooting techniques with handguns and PCC at longer distances under time pressure.

The association currently organizes two rapid-fire competitions of similar nature. REPIKO – a team competition with 3-person teams and RPC-1 (Revolver, Pistol, Carbine) – an individual competition.

These competitions combine precision shooting on 25 m paper targets and reactive (falling and knock-down) targets placed 20–30 m from the firing line. The competition is timed.

DYNAMIC SHOOTING COMPETITIONS

Dynamic shooting competitions are a new addition to the association’s competition calendar. Globally, this type of shooting competition is becoming increasingly popular, both among beginners and experienced professionals.

These competitions are also sought after by members of the armed forces as a suitable complementary activity for training, improving shooting skills, and safe firearm handling.

The association is currently preparing competitions under the names Shooting Parkour and Army Parkour.

COMBINED SHOOTING COMPETITIONS

Combined shooting competitions merge several shooting and non-shooting disciplines into a single event. They aim to develop the versatility of competitors and team cooperation. Currently, the association has one such competition in its calendar – the Shooting Pentathlon (Strelecký viacboj), considered the “royal” discipline of the association due to its long-standing tradition.
