The Slovak Association of Reservists is a civic organization with a long-standing tradition, open to all citizens of the Slovak Republic who are interested in defense-oriented and sport-shooting activities. The Association closely cooperates with the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic and other organizations of a similar nature. It offers a wide range of shooting and defense-sport activities.
As a proud partner of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic, we are pleased to introduce the National Defense Forces project. This new initiative aims to enhance the resilience and defense readiness of our country through broader involvement of the civilian population – not only in relation to military threats, but especially in fulfilling crisis-management tasks, as well as in responding to natural disasters and various types of emergency situations. At the same time, participants interested in training have the opportunity to improve their physical and mental preparedness and to acquire new skills. The purpose of our activities is to build a community. A community of individuals who share an interest in shooting and defense-oriented sports. People who wish to meet at public sporting events and test their skills in a competitive environment. Individuals committed to creating optimal conditions for the further development of the community and the expansion of its activities. Our community is a blend of current and former members of the armed forces, elite sport shooters, passionate amateurs, and beginner shooters who wish to advance their skills to an intermediate or advanced level.
The activities of our association are based on three basic pillars, which have equal status in terms of association activities.
Civil defense education for citizens is a topic that, given the current geopolitical situation, is once again gaining increasing attention.
The Association organizes a wide spectrum of competitions of various types — from technical to dynamic events, designed for all categories of shooters.
The development of good relations and cross-border cooperation with organizations of a similar nature abroad.

Technical shooting disciplines focused on precision shooting (“bullseye shooting”) with both short and long firearms.
Timed disciplines combining elements of technical and dynamic shooting. Rapid-fire shooting with a stationary shooter.
Dynamic shooting disciplines of a defensive nature, conducted within a defined course of fire (stage/obstacle course) with the shooter in motion.
Shooting competitions composed of multiple types of disciplines, aimed at testing the shooter’s versatility and overall proficiency.
The Slovak Association of Reservists organizes a large number of shooting competitions of various types every year. The competitions organized by the Association have a qualifying character and culminate in the official Slovak National Championships. In addition, many clubs host their own cup events, memorial matches, and club-level competitions throughout the year. After the Slovak Shooting Federation, the Association is the second most active sport-shooting organization in the country, focusing primarily on defense-sport shooting disciplines.
The activities of the Slovak Association of Reservists extend beyond the borders of Slovakia. The Association actively participates in international organizations of a similar nature and both organizes and takes part in international shooting competitions.
It is a full member of the Gaminger Initiative — an international, non-governmental, non-profit association of national organizations of reserve officers and soldiers from European countries. Within this forum, it represents the Slovak Republic and conveys its official positions on the various defense- and security-related topics under discussion.
Our Association views cooperation across the entire shooting community in Slovakia as a key priority.
